and in return we need to understand the interaction of iranian nationalism with nuclear development, however stupid it is. I think these iranian kids want to emulate india and play in the big leagues. But they can do that without nukes, if we can hold out the economic incentives that can make them more like what they really admire about india and china for that matter. If democracy ultimately wins the day in iran, iran will look more like india than china and thats a good thing for us down the road.
