American Air Accepting Charge Cards For Onboard Purchases (Wow this took a long time - talk about being late to the party) Dow Jones Newswires AMR Corp.'s (AMR) American Airlines unit expanded its relationship with American Express Co. (AXP) in order to accept major credit and debit cards for onboard purchases. The Forth Worth, Texas, passenger airline said the payment option, which started Monday, will be available on all American Airlines flights by mid-June.
