If Venezuela's oil output is falling that fast it's very bad news for the US. Venezuela is a MAJOR supplier of oil to the US. Just where will we go if Venezuela can't be relied upon to deliver? they have been a stable and reliable source up to now, at least when compared to the alternatives.

This does help explain Chavez's recent behaviour.

$3 gas may seem like a pleasant memory by year end.
