Telecom New Zealand Limited is not a good investment. Though I admit I haven't studied it for years, so it's not a sound opinion. I was once upon a shareholder [10 years ago], buying it when it was privatized.

I am in the process of creating more competition with Telecom. A lot of their revenue comes from their fixed line services and I'm keen on mobile cyberspace, Skype etc. I don't see how they can retain their revenues since the real cost of providing mobile cyberspace is very low.

More and more people will drop the wires. And those who keep the wires will do so only if the wires are cheap enough compared with other data services.
