I understand the logic of your comment.

However, consider the situations the US confronts as a global whole. This is not the time to confront or alienate the Mexican government; that might drive them into the arms of the growing number of neo-communist Latin nations -- Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, etc.

Mexico may be corrupt; nevertheless, an attack upon those leaders might not be the wisest move at this juncture. I think we need a Mexico, albeit not perfect, that is as stable as possible under the existing, deteriorating geo-political reality.
