Nice of you to say, we used to talk on the Piffer threads as well as here.

Anyway, I thought the thread was a bit aggressive yesterday but I think that was the exception and not the rule.

One problem (I've always maintained) is that this is an imperfect means of communication. Too easily misunderstood. One cannot get the inflections meant when reading it on a "page". Things tend to go awry.

Then as well, one person might tend to become more familiar with another and post according to that manner. Meanwhile the next is put off by the attitude.

As with the Piffers, I've met many posters over the years during trips. One or two have even been here at my home. It does make it more comfortable once you put a face and personality with the post.
