Matthews is not a liberal. The leftwing can't stand Matthews. He is a moderate and often gives Republicans the softball treatment. He was also too tough on Kerry and very-very tough on Kucinich in 2004. But he is also tough on liars on the extreme right. He raked Michelle Malkin over the coals and predicted the Scooter Libby CIA-outing months before Libby was indicted. Next up, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove. All guilty. Stating the obvious there does not make one a liberal. The worst offenders on the rightwing talkshow circuit are all sliding fast. You can't keep lying to people and defending thieves and inept bozos and get away with it forever. Now they are trying to change the subject to Mexican bashing but it's not working. As 45% of conservatives now oppose Bush the whole house of cards is falling. Rush Limbaugh's drug arrest also shows that they are not righteous people, they have some serious personal issues. Might account for all their hatred and need to deceive. And all the Anne Coulter BS supporting McCarthyism is outrageous. They have lost that debate completely.
