All: earnings deadline is Monday, August 19, 1996 The stock is no doubt dropping due to the delay in earnings release. The latest I heard is that the company is working feverishly to try to meet the earnings deadline. The deadline was originally said to be August 18, 1996 - I guess they get an extra day since it falls on a Sunday. Some of the excuses given to me for the delay were the departure of an accounting head earlier this year, an archaic accounting system, etc. Steps are being taken to have more timely release of financial results in the future. Things are supposedly going very well - there is a string of six positive news releases being worked on and will be released after the earnings. If you believe in the company, it is a good time to buy or add to your position. Most folks (myself included) are staying on the sidelines. Trading in the stock will (most likely) be halted if they cannot meet the deadline. Good Luck, Kit H. Lou
