Exactly. The entire world tries to mimic American culture in many ways, especially music and consumerism. They would be better off however if they ignored one segment--celebrity worship. I actually felt embarrassed the first time I read(about 10yrs ago) that Madonna's photo could be found in remote Asian villages.
