That was interesting - I posted there:

"drwells - That's a very interesting site. The main problem is that mainstream economists focus on what the Fed directly controls - M0 and M1 and the goldbugs on broader definitions of money and credit, M3 etc. So both are correct about what they are looking at. But M3 increases can't be considered as "printing". Interesting though in your M3 chart that M3 declined pretty sharply recently"
