This isn't an iconic design but I think that Nokia is finally getting clamshell design about right. and there is a darned nice feature set and functionality for the 6131 price point.

The specs and price point are definitely right on the 6131 but there is something about the design of Nokia's clamshells that just misses the mark for me. In general, I like their monoblock/slider designs quite a bit better.

Speaking of good designs, I finally bought a 770 a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it! Nokia really managed to do a great job on the ergonomics/screen/pricepoint for a first gen device. I do have some issues, but most of those would be solved by putting a higher-end processor and more memory into the unit. This really is a near perfect device for me. It opens up web access in quite a few more situations....both at home and while travelling. I'm not sure how big the niche is for a device like this (most of the owners on message boards seem to be programmers), but I really hope that Nokia continues to pursue this market.
