That Catholic treatise at the end always amuses me , you know as well as I do Joe that as long as the great kabbalist, Buddhist and Hindu "west coastal empire " of California( 5th largest nation on earth) , Oregon , Washington and Vancouver Canada exist Joe , Buddhism is assured an eternal life ! Such wishful thinking ...OM Mani Padme OM! ;-) How futile the ominous and threatening post is this , that was written in 1910 , just 15yrs before the famous Scopes trial , when the roots of questioning in their own faith would be inexorably diminished by a socialist/humanist Europe and 2 World Wars the faith did not distinguish itself in , and a loss of influence in N America and now being threatened in S America . And a Self-interested monolith of modern China is surging ahead with the force of a sunami & hurricane combined ....and India . Buddhism is all but dead. In its huge organism the faint pulsations of life are still discernible, but its power of activity is gone. The spread of European civilization over the East will inevitably bring about its extinction. The wheels of Dharma turn ....
