Marcia and John, Your respect and trust, and that of others on this thread, mean a lot to me. Silicon Investor can be such a great tool if used to cluster our talents and our time for research, so long as we all maintain our objectivity and our integrity. And if you don't think I am sincere about that, please check out my posts on the PLSIA thread (under the biotech tab). I'm just glad that I was able to attend the meeting for the benefit of us all.
By the way, I had another thought regarding reverse splits. The issue is dead for now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it resurrected sometime in the future. Nothing anyone said to me, simply my own analysis. The stated terms of the proposed split called for a maximum concentration of 1 share for 4. But if the magic price for NASDAQ small cap listing is $5 (at least that's what I have heard), then a 1 for 4 doesn't even come close. At least, it doesn't come close while the stock price hovers in the $.20's. It sounds as if AGTI management had reason to believe the stock would be somewhere around $1+ by the time the reverse would become effective. Maybe my logic is flawed, and if so I would be grateful for the input of someone more knowledgeable. But even if the price should leap to a big $.50, then wouldn't a reverse of 1:10 have been more appropriate? Like I said, it really doesn't matter for now, but the thought is something to ponder.
Finally, I received an email from someone (who has never even posted on this thread, but apparently "lurks") who questioned whether I was involved with AGTI in any way other than as a shareholder. The answer is a resounding "NO", I am no more than an active shareholder. I pester the AGTI people all the time, but they know and understand that my interest lies in information and in the success of the company.
If this matters to any of you, I am the executive v.p. for a rapidly growing distributor/reseller of telecommunications equipment. We are privately held, or I would strongly urge you to invest!!! This might also help you to understand my travel schedule, as there are telco's scattered hither and yon across the country. And yes, I did arrange a meeting with BCTel while in Vancouver...more nice people, but my sales staff hasn't gotten a call yet. Can someone remind me the virtue of patience? :>) |
