Shift the same example to New York city.

The native african, the native mexican, and the native hyderabadi, will all think of themselves as New Yorkers as well as immigrants. The caucasian american, asian american, and african american will all think of themselves as american and think of the native african/african/hyderabadis as immigrants. Cultural ties dominate here.

Send all three into a southern baptist church and lets see what the devout christians react too more immediately - thier religion, thier culture, or thier physical characteristics.>
