The beginnings have two roots:

1. The latter the US lack of action against al-Qaeda inspired attacks, and;

2. The enmity that former ally, Osama bin Laden developed towards his American friends and the CIA when they continued to undermine liberty by supporting the house of Saud and other repressive regimes in the Arabian Peninsula.

Osama, who envisions himself as a freedom-fighter and a leader to his followers, turned on America after the defeat of the Soviets in Afghanistan and focused his wrath and jihad upon the Saudis, Israel and the USA.

Unfortunately, many of the devils America fights were brought into being by poor foreign policy. If we followed the vision of the framers of our Constitution, the US would avoid becoming embroiled in other nation's politics and would focus more on massive free trade.

Much of our woes stems from the fact that we have our military camped out in more than 100 nations worldwide.

Again, unfortunately, we have no choice now but to do what we are doing as we are reacting to overall poor policy enacted as far back as World War I.
