FT, Call me an isolationist, but I particularly agree with your statement: "If we followed the vision of the framers of our Constitution, the US would avoid becoming embroiled in other nation's politics and would focus more on massive free trade."

I still say that 9/11 and its aftermath can be traced to President Carters inaction WRT Iran's taking our citizens hostage. To my way of thinking, it was the pivotal point and as a display of US of A weakening or appeasement, if you will. Of course, that doesn't mean I am unerringly correct in my way of thinking. - Holly
