You are surely in illusion if you think the right/left divide is media created.

Maybe you can describe to me what your idea of what "Jeffersonain ideals" are.

Jeffersonian ideals IMO is that power is de-centralized. It is not given over to multinational corporations. It is not given over to free trade groups like IMF and WTO or NAFTA etc etc. It is not even given over to the Federal government ideally except in certain areas.
