Re: Fido and canadian stocks. You can get the *.TO (eg, CLL.TO) quotes real-time in $C on the Active Tarder platform. When you click the "trade" buttom right next to it, it opens the trade window and automatically converts the symbol to the pink sheets (CLLZF) and shows the price in USD. You can then adjust your limit buy/sell order in USD easily using this figure. Commisions for foreign stocks that have a pink sheet associated is $8. If the foreign stock does not have a pink sheet clone, then you need to call their foreign trade desk to get a RT quote and the commision is $50. You can also have a customer rep get a quote via their built-in AIM chat tool (very helpful if you do not have a phone right next to you or are on the road).
