The U.S. DOE has a major "..Clean Coal Initiative.." effort going. I've actually met one of the sernior people who came out here to Iowa to see the demo of a new 'Terra Tek' super-clean, ulta-low NOx, plasma-generating burner applicable to the purpose. With that burner, which completely consumes everything, you can't even smell oil or gasoline in the exhaust furmes if those are used as the fuel source. Finely powdered coal would behave the same.

CALB needs to hook up with DOE and get some Press out of that. If you have a chance to get up with someone at CALB, get me involved and I will share my DOE 'Mover-&-Shaker' contact with them.

John :-)
