One that sweeps those big oil and corporate whores to the annals of history. One that takes BACK the government from the special interests and gives it back to the people.

You're a socialist Sly.. How can you claim that expropriating private wealth and putting it in the hands of the governmental politicians who's political power stems from their very ability to centrally allocate wealth represents returning it to "the people".

Wealth is generated BY PEOPLE, either personally via productivity and investment, not by government. PEOPLE make the economic pie larger. Government only can decide how to redistribute that pie to less productive people via expropriation via higher taxes and entitlements.

Give politicians the ability to spend even more money, and they will entice even more people to depend upon their largesses and increase their political power.

The revolution that needs to take place is to DENY Politicians this ability to steal money from the productive people and to give it to people whom they are attempting to politically "addict" to their pork-barrel projects.

With that being said, there are areas in which government can create investment reseach when private market failure occurs. An example of this is alternative fuels research and creating incentives for the private market to create the infrastucture necessary to facilitate alternative energy replacing dependence upon fossil fuels. However, that investment must follow the rules of supply and demand and the result must be commercially competitive to existing energy technologies.

The revolution YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT (a socialist one) only strips the power of individuals to decide their own futures, and puts that power into the hands of politicians who's primary interest is remaining in power.

And in the worst circumstance, that economic power is seized by unelected dictators and despots, who will use whatever means they can muster to deny alternative that might threaten their political power.

Some revolution...

The lesson you obviously have never learned is that money often equates to power. The question is who are we going to entrust with that money?
