So... there was a QUESTION about WHICH federal law had precedence... and the Courts sorted it out. They decided that the newly established federal medical privacy rights were subservient to the need of law enforcement to be able to prosecute crimes.... A fairly NARROW decision. (Personally, if someone wanted to put a STRONG right to PRIVACY in the US Constitution though, I would support that....)
