Robert, Please take this post as just another view. It's not directed at you are anyone. I post this just as a balancing view since I can assure you I'm living proof that the closer you get to God the stronger the demons and adversity (the forces of darkness) put in adversity in your way. Then of course there is our own flub-ups that overtake us too. If you eat worng and don't exercise and don't sleep good and meditate on the world.. you will suffer sickness. Don't beleive in casting out flat tire demons. Just get the spare and change the tire you ran over a nail not a demon.<gg>. I suggest you read all the scriptures.Paul was a prideful christain for a very long time.He even said he was and admitted it later in life.This is one of the reasons he was so mad at Mark.. So, he was prideful and he did remain a christain to the end althoguh he finally admitted it and with God's help defeated it. There are few sins that will keep God from using you mightily. I'm not for sin. i just let God decide what He can do and not do in this area. Paul was prideful and God used him in spite of it. The Centurion didn't even know much of God and Jesus said that He hadn't seen such faith. Christains need to strive to be like Christ but quit thinking that they have to earn the right for God to use them and bless them. God can use even our stupidness. You know that Whinsant book you quoted. I taught endtime seminars that yr. highlighting the book is probably not true but God's Word is true. Huundreds were saved in those seminars in '88. I know many people who got saved because of that book too and are still christians today. So, even through it was a mistake. God made it work for Him. The world really didn't harden their heart over the book and no telling how many people got saved. If the book taught christians anything it's "we don't really live our life like He's coming that yr." If we did that every yr. there is no telling what God could do. I also, found the post to be unbalanced. As unbalanced as the christains who think that being saved is a magic bullet. There is a balance. When the destroyer comes and he always does the closer you get to God, I will not hesitate to ask for God's help. I have confidence that in the storms God will always be there and He will get me through. I've never sat there and said "Well God is sending me this death and destruction, this tradegy( God killed my daughter so He must have needed her in heaven<gg>). So, I shouldn't pray for it to go away. it's from God so I need to love it and praying for it to leave is against His will" I know that He is for me so who can be against me. I rely on His Word to see me through, and if He doesn't then how can I lose since I then see him face to face. I love Him even though He sley me!!!!!!!
