Colin Powell is justifiably upset over how he and his son were summarily dismissed. Having him criticize the President seems strange given his background in the military. Perhaps he is trying to pave his way back into politics?

Michael Powell tried to tame the FCC, and the Democrats made it very difficult for him. The former director refused to leave. The Senate took forever to confirm the Republicans, so for a year or more, Democrats still controlled after President Bush took office. Even on his way out, he was taking licks.
