Jesus is also God and had the power to modify for all time the form of Judaism. Judaism was based on animal sacrifices for forgiveness of sins. When Jesus shed His blood and died on the cross His blood became the final sacrifice of blood carried into the Holy of Holies supernaturally by God and that blood sacrifice forgave all the sins of the world forever. By this act Jesus (who is God in the flesh) modified Judaism forever. Jesus also rose from death (on the basis of an indestructible life) to show His victory over death. Now Judaism is to believe in Jesus and accept His forgiveness. No more animal sacrifices. That's obsolete now. This new form of Judaism now has become known as Christianity. But the Jews who cling to the obsolete Judaism still insist on labeling their religion as that. Judaism became Christianity.
