Interesting read Eric. Thanks. Since Corporations have personhood I would think that we could drag 'em out of their offices and lynch em too, or at least subject some of the officers to criminal prosecution. (The latest are simply show trials and don't deal with the real problems.) My original post was referring to the fact that many forms of government are much stricter in their interpretation of property rights. Can't say as I could see Stalin listening to much of that personhood stuff. Theoretically, communism places all the power of production in the hands of the people; what it had done in reality is quite another matter. If the state is the only corporation, and the people are all shareholders then the state is supposed to act in the interests of the people, no? But my original post was not meant to be deep, just a bit drool. The point being that corporations and states are really not that much different. They have many of the same strengths, and a lot of the same weaknesses. Desiring one over the other is just shifting the illusion. Again, thanks for the interesting read. aloha, Yorikke
