Do you truly need a gas guzzling V8 behemoth SUV to get you from point A to point B? Of course not! Did Bush really need to increase the 179 deduction for behemoth SUVs? Of course not. Would a similar 179 deduction (or even better a line item deduction) on solar panels for home power had a better effect on oil conservation? Of course it would. Would rules forcing people to car pool or face huge tax penalties (call it a oil pig tax) had a huge conservation effect? Of course it would (I'm stunned every time I have to go to LA to see that the vast majority of people commuting and stuck in traffic for hours upon hours are just A SINGLE PERSON PER VEHICLE, usually on those huge behemoth SUVs. Same for most major cities that have a traffic problem and car pools lanes. That's CONSERVATION you dumbass. Like the conservation rules that Clark County passed for water and decreased water usage by almost 30% while still keeping up with the explosive growth of the fastest growing city in America. And a real government (not these big oil whores) who have done something along those lines instead of making matters worse. It also takes good will from people instead of morons like you screaming "I'm an oil pig and I want more oil". Oil pigs like you deserve to be put at the Iraqi front lines... unarmed!
