"Imparting logic where logic is an oxymoron is a major task, and I salute you."
John, I was simply complimenting your writing style. Religion is based on beliefs, logical or not. It is, in fact, layer upon layer of beliefs, using one belief as the "solid" foundation for the next belief. It becomes a multi-layered, interrelated system where each belief is dependent on other beliefs, and admission of one false belief is impossible, because it could degrade the strength of the entire latticework. Logic is therefore, anathema to religion.
IMO, of course, and thus the question, "who is John Galt?" |
