However, some people have the ability to gather a large mass of material and somehow make sense of it, if sense is to be made. It requires an open mind, flexibility, skepticism, an ability to withhold judgment, and many other qualities not the least of which is a decent intuitive sense. Most importantly, it requires an ability to discard ideological filters and any other bias-inducing mindsets.

In short, all the characteristics of good investors. vbg.

I refuse to believe that we are worse off because some no-name pundits who are unknown to the vast majority of the people attack each other. It borders on the risible to think so, IMO. These pundits are simply fodder for the chattering classes, hugely unimportant in their own right.
