Warren Buffet was a polygamist of sorts. Funny how the media never mentions this:

Marital Status: Warren Buffett and his wife, Mrs Susan Buffett, are married but they live apart. She has lived in San Francisco for nearly twenty years while he stays in Omaha. Mrs Buffett is the mother to the couple’s three grown children and heir to the Buffett fortune. She is the second largest shareholder with 3% of Berkshire Hathaway stocks. Buffett is very fond of his wife and describes her as follows, She sort of roams. She’s a free spirit. Around the time when their youngest child, little Susie was graduating from high school, Susan Buffett decided to pursue her long-delayed career as a nightclub singer.

Apparently, Warren Buffett was devastated when she left. But Susan asked the Omaha women to check in on him, fix him dinner or invite him for a movie. One of those women who took up the offer was 31 year old Astrid Menks, a Latvian lady who was a waitress at one of the Omaha clubs that Susan Buffett was singing in before she moved to San Francisco. Within a year of Susan’s departure, Astrid Menks moved into the Buffett home and has been with him since 1978. On a daily basis, Warren Buffett lives with Astrid. On formal occasions such as Berkshire’s annual meetings, he is with Susan. But on more than one occasion at the annual meetings, you will find the two women sitting side by side and chatting amiably while their shared man runs the show. Friends say there are no victims in this arrangement, and it works for the three of them.
