ManyMoose, You are just about the only person I have run across who actually remembers Crime and Punishment. It was on for such a short time. I like the actors in Special Victims Unit. Mariska Hargitay looks so very much like her mother, the late Jayne Mansfield, it's uncanny. The story lines are a tad too gratuitously tacky for my taste, however. As for Criminal Intent, I don't much care for the actors on that show. The male lead is positively smarmy. The story lines seem way too far-fetched and forced. My impression of NCIS is that it is a poor imitation of CSI. Again, I've never watched any of these shows more than a few times. JAG was excellent, especially in its later years. I couldn't believe CBS canceled it. I wonder if another network will pick it up and run with it. Product placement in TV shows and movies is big business. Have you noticed how many more characters are lighting up and what they are lighting up are usually Marlboros? - Holly
