Well perhaps illusionist would have been a better choice of a word. But the point remains. Gold turns not on facts but on perceptions of stability. If ever one of these fed-bank clowns decides to turn himself into more than a 'yes man' we may have a crumbling of gold even if things are in reality not getting any better. It is something to keep in mind.
