The GOP would be smart to remove Bush-Cheney and replace them with uncontroversial Gerald Ford types, but of course they won't. At least not until impeachment looks inevitable.

Right now, the GOP has bigger problems to worry about, like losing both houses of congress and being put in the political dog house for a decade or so until they have cleaned up their act. That will mean all their pro-corporate programs will be scrapped and the people will re-take their government, along with a strong two-term popular Democratic president. Exactly what the country needs to recover from these very costly 6 years of Republican rule.

Everything that goes around comes around, huh?
