Yeah, the fabled "we'll make it up in the second half" story. Let's see:
--The home builder said it expects to earn between 75 cents and 85 cents a share for the second quarter of 2006. Analysts on average, expect the company to earn 94 cents a share, excluding exceptional items, according to Reuters Estimates.
--For 2006 the company lowered its earnings outlook to $4.50 to $5 a share, which includes an impact of about 15 cents from stock-based compensation expense on revenues of between $2.8 billion to $3.0 billion
So, we're just did 90cents, we're going to do 80cents in Q2, but about $4.75 on the whole year. $4.75-1.70=$3.00. You're telling me you're going to make $3.00 in Q3 and Q4?!? As far as I can tell, they just reported their four best quarters ever: $1.61, $0.85, $1.20, and now $0.89. So in Q3 and Q4, with the bubble deflating, you're going to produce two quarters that are better than any other two combined quarters you've ever done?
Horse puckey.
