Monogamy has to do with valuing a woman as equal to a man...which of course was nature's original plan.

It's not difficult to understand how the Mormon religion became popular back in the 19thC when women's human rights were oppressed. Many a man's natural reaction to the multiple wives tenet was "sign me up immediately!"...while the women were dragged along into the wild west with tiny children in tow....ahh, those were the days---for men only!!
