Dummy, Nixon's first year in office he pulled 60k troops out of Vietnam. The next year, 1970, he pulled 141k and then another 194k in 1971, bringing US troops there down from 535k to 140k with still a full year to go in his first term. By the time of his second inaugural, the war was over and two months later the last US combat troops left Vietnam.
