Kerry is not a loser. He is a fighter. And he does not give up.
He once lost a bid for congress and came back next time stronger and smarter than ever. In 2004, Kerry was up against some very tough obstacles. He had very little time to organize and raise money. He was exhausted from the primary battles. Then, no one has ever beaten a war-time president in this country, and Bushies also cheated, lied, smeared, covered-up and defrauded while Kerry ran a clean issues-related campaign. So the cheaters won.
If Warner really has what it takes, he'll be my second choice, but I already know he's nowhere near as qualified as Kerry. Because one of our biggest problems is going to be un-doing what Bush has done to our standing in the world, the war in Iraq and alll sorts of other international crises. On these issues, Kerry is much-much better than Warner.
Gore would be good and could also be my second choice, but I don't think he's running.
As for needing fresh faces, Nixon and Reagan had both lost efforts for the White Hosue and came back to win landslide victories for their party. It has been done and can be done. |
