inefficient bureaucracy alone is not the answer. But neither is the efficiency of some new feudalism. This country is in bigger trouble from the lack of checks and balances than just from large payrolls. The amount of money that is siphoned off by crooked committee chairmen or star war dreamers far exceeds the salaries of the pencil pushers. Once these crooks are subject to investigation and jail, finger pointing from both sides of the isle, then the corruption will taper off. TP
