There was a oil company CEO on TV the other day who stated very clearly that his shareholders have hired him to bring in profits for them. He stated specifically that they have not hired him to spend money on research for alternative fuels. If we were to take his word, then it looks like he is passing on the responsibility for research in alternative fuels to the Govt. Where will the Govt. get its money to benefit us all in general if not through taxes on the exorbitant profits of these companies. I am sure that once you can discern "a decent profit" from the term "exorbitant outrageous profit" then you will start to sing the same tune as AS and me and others.
