Social programs do not need to be demonized, the are the equivalent of demons incarnate on Earth. :)

Clinton was a non-entity who lucked out. If his and Hillary's great vision for a huge socialist health plan had been pushed through there would have been no surpluses at all and even bigger deficits now. He's lucky that Congress had the power to stop the foolishness and help him come out smelling like a rose. The surplus was not due to Clinton. The only real power a President has over legislation is veto power. Congress decides whether there is a surplus or not through their legislation.

When are the American people going to wake up to this? Maybe when they stop watching touchy-feelie Oprah and quit consulting their horoscopes? LOL

Corporate "greed" creates shareholder profits. I'm sure you don't want to hold a portfolio of stocks from companies that work hard not to make a profit. If you do, then why are you even at SI?
