I don't believe there is a current shortage of oil. We're only half way though the supply if you believe in Peak Oil.

But having a contrived shortage, ie control of the supply, is different than demand outstripping supply. Do you see the difference?

Cost of oil is not a problem for those that have plenty, simply pass the raised prices on to you and I. The result is increased profits.

Yes while oil supplies will be a problem for future generations, there will be oil as long as you and I are alive, and plenty of it too.

Witness that the price is arbitrary. Venezuela sets its own price for oil and gives it free to those in severe need. Did you know that Venezuela has more oil than Saudi Arabia in recent assays?

What we are seeing here is gouging and price control by a few who profit from high prices of oil and at the pump.

And it is we the people that suffer, while others basque in the wealth of the oil with $400 million dollar retirement packages, while others starve.
