Brian,

The SVGI acquisition "rumors" were more speculation than rumors. AMAT would like to acquire a lithography company, but there are no obvious candidates. ASM Lithography has too high a market capitalization and SVGI's is "too low" because of its small size and lack of a track record. I don't think lithography will "hit a wall", but new "light" sources (x-ray, EUV, etc.) will be used. I think that AMAT will be watching the Micrascan ramp up at SVGI and the P-GILD and e-beam rollout at UTEK, and they will pounce on one or both if these products look like they will realize the potential currently speculated for them.
