Well, yes. This *IS* the season gamer kiddies don't get boxes for *CHRISTMAS*. Their folks buy them around 6 months from now. Planning is starting at the box builders now. That's why the stock dips in April -> July/August. Uncertainty. It's the thing Wall Street hates.

AMD needs to give them a reason to go with the AM2 platform, and if all they have is a future upgrade, they need to start selling that now.

Pfui. That same bullshit talk was around here when INTC said they'd break the 1GHz mark and then again when they said they'd break the 4GHz mark, each by date.

I posted, in each case, that that was *NICE TALK* that wouldn't work. Where were you?

Conroe looks like a pretty decent kit. It's not in the wild yet. Those 1G P4s looked pretty good 'till they were beaten to the mark and then didn't work.

INTC's desperate. They have no Steak. The only thing they have is *SIZZLE*.

WTF do you expect INTC to do? Try to use the sludge off the bottom of the pan to try to keep AMD from selling current product?
