shahn; There was no explanation unless you went to the next benchmarks page. Most benchmarks schemes place a time for a fixed task like 10 sec for 100 yards and the rate the others against that, and obviously, 9 seconds is better than 10(faster). Others see how far you can run in 10 seconds and obviously 110 yards is better than 100.
So this benchmark obviously took a standard time unit and measured how much data could be computed in that time, so larger is better.
They should say that on the same page, and not bury it 3 ad banners deep. Most Wintel benchmarks put the referents at the foot of the graph, and so should Apples and all others.
