Skeeter, the fact that they chose to "guide the analysts downward" as opposed to the other obvious option, IMHO speaks volumes. Intel wasn't afraid to pre-announce. You see, they know how good they are (yes, I'm "out of the closet" on INTC - I like it. Don't know how strong PC growth will be after 4Q'97 or how serious the AMD/CYRX threat is, but this is a team that generally wins when they take the field) and they're not afraid to suck it up and admit when they're having problems. I'm not getting that feeling here with MU. Good trading, Tom
