Paul,

I have been a holder of this stock for five years and feel the best days are yet to come. The ICL will revolutionize the eye care business because of one huge factor- it is reversible! If problems develop, the lens is removed. With laser and RK, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the process. Another factor- the ICL works for both near and farsightedness (laser and RK work only for nearsightedness). Staar is a leader. Unlike the laser and RK upstarts, STAA is making money and is not a one product company. I will be a patient if the ICL is approved. Barring unforeseen factors, STAA has potential which is huge if it is handled properly. They are already a leader in the industry and the distribution channels are already in place. Now is the time to accumulate the stock. By the time the news hits the wires on the approval from the FDA, it will be to late. They are in Phase II and ahead of schedule. I have heard stories of patients walking out after having the ICL implanted and literally balling their eyes out because they can see perfectly for the first time in their lives( the trials are only using patients that are considered legally blind).

Staar is in a very good position at the moment. It is one of those stocks that should be tucked away in your portfolio. In two or three years, I will wager that it will be a lot higher than it is now.
