Sam, the people on this thread were very nice not to flame me for my stupidity, thanks all. The matter of a reverse split on this stock is interesting. I heard an interesting method to handle MMs that illegally short a stock. Announce a reverse split and then call in the certificates as a method to force MM's to cover. The result could be explosive for the stock if there is actually illegal shorting (shorting without borrowing, MMs must balance their books every month). I am not completely sure of the mechanics. Also, reverse splits were the company is earning money to support the stock price doesn't have to be a problem. Companies that don't have earnings however do get killed with the new reverse split price sometimes approaching the presplit price. Does anyone have an earnings number for JAVA?
