Actually I believe it's you who are missing the point. The women in polygamous marriages have usually been reared in that culture and therefore have been brainwashed since childhood to believe it's a normal lifestyle--it's not. The male-dominated culture uses the females almost as slaves. Life in the household is supposed to revolve around that one man-it's ridiculous but apparently appeals to ego-maniacal males. Mid-eastern culture has the same lop-sided, inhuman aspect. The happiest marriages are partnerships between one woman & one man....anything less is not healthy. >>while I'm against polygamy, I only think it should be a legal matter if it pertains to fraud of some sort, or if there is abuse.<<
