Eventually the civil war (and that's what it is) will peter out, just as it did almost a decade ago in Algeria. Give it (lots) of time.... We're not leaving - there will still be that Billion Dollar fortress we're building in Baghdad regardless of what happens, but our presence there will not help Americans at the gas pump. In an ironic sense, the rising gas prices caused by this administration's incompetence is forcing Americans to face rising gas prices sooner rather than later, and this is not an entirely bad thing. I'm not saying the increase in international terrorism that we are also causing is a wonderful tradeoff, but we do have to face the music sooner or later about declining energy supplies and spiraling national debt.
