I've discovered that God doesn't love old people and those who care for them, either. Either that or old people are inherently environmentally unfriendly. I haven't had occasion to think much about car options for ages but I'm now considering purchase of a car in which I could transport them and discovered that the options are seriously limited. A small ULEV Honda, of course, wouldn't work. OTOH, a Humvee wouldn't either. It's amazing how few cars will accommodate a less than fully flexible person entering or exiting a back seat.

(I rented a "full size" car in Tucson and when I arrived they had a Sonata waiting for me. Avis has apparently taken it upon itself to eschew industry standards and call mid-size sedans "full size." They also call a Bonneville, which is what I ended up with, a "luxury car." LOL.)

(FWIW, in my travels, I discovered that the doors of the Infinity open straight out. I found that clever.)

(I have a friend, the environmentalist I talked about the other day, who has been planning to replace his twenty year old car with a hybrid for ages. As it turns out, he was finally on the way to the dealership to actually start the process a couple of weeks ago when his car broke down so he had to get it repaired. Now he says his old car is good for another couple of years. Wonder what role God/fate had in that. LOL.)
