Yeah, MJ, I think it really IS the same as talking music. When I try to write the stuff, I use a little metronome in my head to try to parse the syllables. Guess that's why my head shakes and eyes cross? <GGG>

Some of the very best cowboy songs sound just as good spoken as sung. Let me see if I can find my transcribed copy of "The Zebra Dun" to prove my point. Fair warning, though, this really IS cowboy.
